How is pricing calculated?

Where does the wait-time data come from?
Two kinds of sources: official feeds from certain institutions (MSSS, Service Canada) and citizen reports via the iCivic mobile app — which cover locations with no open data, such as the SAAQ and municipal services. Everything is combined and validated by our algorithm.
Do we need to change our existing systems?
No. Nothing needs integrating to get started. Advanced REST API integration is optional and added at your own pace.
Is the data hosted in Quebec?
Data is hosted in Canada. The Standard tier includes a written data processing agreement (DPA), as required by Law 25. The Network tier can include a custom DPA tailored to the organization's requirements.
How accurate are the forecasts?
Accuracy depends heavily on the type of service point: a counter whose wait is measured in tens of minutes and an emergency room whose wait is measured in hours cannot be predicted to the same margin. We therefore do not publish a single figure. We measure the gap between every prediction and the wait actually observed, continuously, and the end-of-pilot report gives you that measurement on your own service points.
